As for conservation, it studies and investigates the origen and characteristics of damage, and provides solutions to prevent, combat, and eradicate the cause.

In restoration, its principal activity is situated in the use of the most appropiate methods available in order to ensure that the object is once again functional without modification, actual or apparent, of its intrinsic or codicological values.

To assume this responsability is has highly qualified technical team composed of seven specialist in diverse areas and a laboratory equipped with the means to develop its work.

In order to carry out proper restoration, analyses are required in order to establish a rigorous and exact diagnosis of the damage and its origin. The exactness of the diagnosis, the technical means available, the experience, the aptitude of the technical team involed, and successful conservation judgement, are the fundamental elements that condition adequate restoration.
